- Tell our customer service representative exactly what items are to be collected.
- Call us by noon to arrange a next day pick up. If the day is fully booked, we will schedule your pick up for the next available service day. Bulky Item Collection service is scheduled five days a week, Monday through Friday. Call us by noon on Friday to schedule Monday service.
Service Rules
- The BIC program is only available to residents of the city of San Francisco.
- Participating properties must have an active residential or apartment account with Sunset Scavenger Company or Golden Gate Disposal & Recycling Company. The account must be active for minimum of 30 days.
- Residential customers are entitled to two BIC collections per calendar year.
- Multi-family owners are entitled to one BIC for each building per calendar year.
- Multi-family tenants: each unit within an apartment building is entitled to one BIC collection per calendar year. Tenants may call us directly to schedule a collection.
- Customer with more than ten items can arrange for the collection of the additional items by combining their BIC collection with a RecycleMyJunk.com collection.
- Additional appointments can be scheduled through the RecycleMyJunk.com program.
- This program is not for household trash items or recyclable items that can be collected in your recycling cart (i.e.; paper, cardboard, bottles and cans).
- Large appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines and stoves are limited to one of each type per collection.
- Unused collections do not accumulate.
- You are responsible for all material set out at your address.
- Program limits will be strictly enforced.
Collection Day
- Customers may place their items neatly at the curb no earlier than 6:00 PM the day before the scheduled collection and no later than 6:00 AM the day of the scheduled collection.
